National Eisteddfod of Wales - Wrexham, North Wales
In July 2011 Treherbert & District participated and won the Third Division of the 2011 National Eisteddfod, held in Wrexham, North Wales.
The band were named 2011 National Third Division Champions by adjudicators C. Brian Buckley, Paul Holland and Iwan Williams for their performances of Summon the Heroes, Send In the Clowns, Sweet Georgia Brown and MacArthur Park.

Welsh Regional Championships - Brangwyn Hall, Swansea
Following a three year break from competition, Treherbert returned to the annual Welsh Regional Championships at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea on Saturday 19 March 2011. The championships, Wales' annual national brass band competition, are also the qualifying contest for the Finals of the National Championships of Great Britain.
Competing against bands from across Wales, Treherbert & District were successful in being placed second in the Third Division of the championships. The band's performance of Philip Wilby's 'A Little Light Music' found many admirers, not least adjudicator Brian Buckley and online magazine 4barsrest.com, who described the performance as "admirably secure and certainly had the best ‘tarantella’ we have heard around the country this year – pacy, detailed and full of drama".
Along with West Wales' Goodwick Band, Treherbert will now go on to represent Wales at the Finals of the National Championships of Great Britain, to be held at The Centaur, Cheltenham on Sunday September 25th.
Gala Concert - St David's Hall, Cardiff
Following on from the success of the Symphony of Sound & Song event in Llantrisant, the same performers were invited to resprise the event at Wales' National Concert Hall, St David's Hall, Cardiff on Thursday July 2nd 2009.
In addition to the original performers also featured at the event were Ysgolion Cymraeg Rhondda Cor Y Cwm and BBC Wales presenters Roy Noble and Sara Edwards.
The event was organised at the request of Lord Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan, Mrs Kate Thomas CVO JP, by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Strategic Events team, in partnership with Derek Morgan OBE DL, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan.
The proceeds of the performance were donated to the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show.
Symphony of Sound & Song - Llantrisant
On Saturday January 24th 2009 Treherbert featured in a gala concert boasting some of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s finest musicians and singers. Alongside the band the performance featured YGGG Llantrisant’s Childrens’ Choir, Cor Meibion Pontypridd, the Richard Williams Singers, Llantrisant Male Voice Choir, Cwmaman Institute Silver Band, Cor Meibion Morlais and Llantrisant Community Band.
The performance was organised by then Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cllr Margaret Davies in aid of the charities TEDs, the British Heart Foundation and the Special Baby Care Unit.
