Treherbert Youth & Community Band
Treherbert Brass actively supports and encourages the training and development of young brass players in the upper Rhondda area.
Our Youth & Community Band programme sees weekly sessions take place every Thursday evening during term time, between 6:30 and 7:30pm at the bandroom, located on Taff Street, Treherbert CF42 5LE
Membership is open to all: both new and existing players. Instruments are provided and attendance at weekly sessions costs just £2!
Members of the band have performed in concert and competition at events such as the Urdd National Eisteddfod of Wales and Treorchy Male Choir Young Musician of the Year competition, and featured by BBC Wales on S4C television's 'Ffeil' news magazine programme.
Our 2018 / 19 Youth Band sessions are supported by a grant from the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund, with additional support now being received for 2019 / 20 from Ty Cerdd.
